Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A 33-year-old murder suspect is on the run, and police believe he could be in North Carolina or South Carolina.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say 33-year-old Joseph Tyrell Abercrombie, AKA “South Carolina” or “Jay," is wanted for the murder of Antwain Maurice Price.
Abercrombie, who is believed to have ties to Columbia, is reportedly moving along interstates and staying in motels in North Carolina and South Carolina. He is considered "armed and dangerous" by police.
Arrest warrants for murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon were acquired during the investigation. Warrants unrelated to the murder, including property by false pretenses, identity theft, possession of stolen goods, felony conspiracy, conspiracy to obtain property by false pretenses and a probation violation, were also obtained.
He is believed to be in the company of Bria Anansa Shawntia Robinson, 24, who has ties to Spartanburg, South Carolina.
