Lawsuit Filed, Greg Wright and His Lawyer Seek Damages

As expected, the lawyer for fired Swansea head football coach Greg Wright has filed a lawsuit against Lexington School DIstrict 4.

The battle continues for fired Swansea head football coach Greg Wright.

On Friday, one day after the Lexington School District 4 board announced it would take no action to overturn the decision by Swansea high school to fire Wright, Wright's attorney Lewis Cromer announced he had filed a lawsuit Friday morning against the Lexington 4 and two local citizens. Cromer is seeking $300,000 in actual damages and also punitive damages.

Cromer, his staff and Wright gathered at Cromer's office for the announcement of the lawsuit. Wright did not speak. Cromer admitted that Wright will not be coaching the Tigers this season, but said the fight to repair Wright's reputation will continue.

Wright was fired after two seasons at the helm of the Tiger program. High school football practice begins on July 27 without Wright running practice in Swansea.
